Tha Work Thang #36: THON currency

I was recently commissioned to do some coinage for the upcoming THON tabletop game. The mining clans of the Ordhren use these not only as currency but also as armour markings. Known as "Char" – The lifeblood of the Ordhren Empire. Each Starlight engraves mineral ingots and coinage with the symbol of their home world. The better the quality of the Mineral, the higher the demand.

Tha Work Thang #35: Tome of Blood

Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a great festive season. Well, I guess it's back to the grindstone now eh? 

"Tome of Blood" has just been released by Fantasy Flight Games, it is a book for the Black Crusade r.p.g. dealing with the Chaos God Khorne and the various manifestations of its blood soaked spawn!

I have a few pieces in this book, pictured is a daemonically possessed Autocannon that has the head of a Bloodletter demon growing from it.

Tha Work Thang #34: The Enemy Within

Fantasy Flight Games have just released their newest supplement for  Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. It is called, "The Enemy Within" and deals with those verminous skulkers, the Skaven. It's full of nasty, spiky, choppy equipment all dripping with poison-y badness.

 Just like these two pieces, a warpstone throwing star and a weeping blade, which were two of the pieces I contributed to this book.

Tha Work Thang #33: A little more Merchant

A few more pieces from Fantasy Flight Games', "Merchant of Venus". I got to use up some of my concept designs for the spaceship piece in these cards. Here we have Fuzzy Dice, Fancy Spoiler, Variable Shield and Stealth Field.

Tha Work Thang #32: THON

A couple of months ago, after posting my banners for "Deathwatch: Honour the Chapter" I was approached as to whether I would like to create some banners for a new tactical miniatures wargame called THON.

 This space age setting sees the noble Thonians battling against the Ordrhen mining clans. The project should be hitting kickstarter soon but already there is a wealth of concept art and prototype miniatures that have been produced. 

The pieces shown here depict an Ordrhen Tinderbox, symbolic of their mining heritage and traditions and two banners for each of the factions.

Tha Work Thang #31: A little Merchant

Greetings Earthlings! I have mentioned previously on the blog about Fantasy Flight Games new production of Merchant of Venus, originally designed by Richard Hamblen. A fun space age board game of trading and tactics. Well, the game was previewed at GenCon and the product page on the F.F.G. site has been updated with these teaser images of some of the counters and the space ship player piece.

The counters show two pieces that I worked on, License to Drill and Market Flux, which you can see below.

The space ship piece was fun to work on as I did tons of concept sketches, but this was the one settled on and the concept art can be seen below.
