Tha Work Thang #38: Green Dragon Concepts

Hi Everybody! Way past time for a new post.

 "So, what have we got here then?" I hear you ask, well we have some concept designs for a character to be used on an energy drink bottle. "Tell me more." I hear you say. Ok.

 Several months ago I was approached by the folks at Run Wild Creative Design to produce character art for an upcoming energy drink called Green Dragon. The brief asked for the design to either be a tattoo or a cartoon character. I produced some samples of both and after discussion and revision the character was worked up to the  charismatic, fire breathing, little fellow you see above. It was a very enjoyable project to work on.

Tha Work Thang #37: Ark of Lost Souls

Fantasy Flight Games have just released a supplement for the DeathWatch roleplaying game called, "Ark of Lost Souls". It deals with the perils of Space Hulks in the Warhammer 40k universe. I was lucky enough to illustrate the frontis piece for this book, which you can see above. It shows a battle ravaged DeathWatch symbol that has seen better days!

From the Sketchbook: Frost Trolls

This morning I started doodling on a blue coloured texture, as a way of limbering up the creative muscles.

 What slowly formed in front of me was a face off between a heroic barbarian and two vicious, gnarled trolls, on a frozen lake, in a decidedly wintry setting. I like how it turned out, so thought I would share it with you guys.

Tha Work Thang #36: THON currency

I was recently commissioned to do some coinage for the upcoming THON tabletop game. The mining clans of the Ordhren use these not only as currency but also as armour markings. Known as "Char" – The lifeblood of the Ordhren Empire. Each Starlight engraves mineral ingots and coinage with the symbol of their home world. The better the quality of the Mineral, the higher the demand.

Tha Work Thang #35: Tome of Blood

Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a great festive season. Well, I guess it's back to the grindstone now eh? 

"Tome of Blood" has just been released by Fantasy Flight Games, it is a book for the Black Crusade r.p.g. dealing with the Chaos God Khorne and the various manifestations of its blood soaked spawn!

I have a few pieces in this book, pictured is a daemonically possessed Autocannon that has the head of a Bloodletter demon growing from it.
