Here is a sci- fi bike I concepted for Fantasy Flight Games. It was drawn for their Android Netrunner novella, "Exodus". Called the Qianju 7000, it is the transport of choice of Ken "Express" Tenma the protagonist of the story.

Tha Work Thang #52: A Game of Thrones: For Family Honor

 More A Game of Thrones 2nd Edition card game goodness for you lovely people.
Here is the card, "Crown of Golden Roses" which I did for the, "For Family Honor" pack.

Initially I had the crown looking straight out of the card with Renly Baratheons eyes visible.
My art director on this piece was Deb Freytag and she wanted the focus to be on the crown and to change the angle a little. I came up with a few thumbnails and an alternative view was chosen.
 I have to agree, as much as I like the other version the viewer is drawn to the eyes and not the crown.

Tha Work Thang #51: AGoT GenCon draft starter

Gencon 2016 has just finished in Indiannapolis and Fantasy Flight Games ran an event for their Game of Thrones 2nd Edition card game. I was lucky enough to design the four Agenda cards in the draft starter deck. These were all meant to be stylised depictions of stained glass windows or banners and were great fun to do.

Tha Work Thang #50: Called to Arms - The Boy King

Here is a card I painted for the, "A Game of Thrones" 2nd edition card game. It was for the "Called to Arms" expansion and is entitled "The Boy King." This is one of three I did for this set, the other two have not been shared by FFG yet, as far as I know, so I will edit the post to add those at a later date.

Tha Work Thang #49: More Fifth Edition Fantasy

Here are three more covers that I completed for Goodman Games' Fifth Edition Fantasy Line of adventures for Dungeons and Dragons.

Wayne England R.I.P.

Just heard the terrible news that Wayne England, Illustrator and designer, passed away this morning.

 Wayne was a massive inspiration for me as a young artist, I used to pore over his illustrations in White Dwarf magazine, marveling over how he managed to put so much detail in with coloured pencils.

When I eventually made some headway as an illustrator I was lucky enough to have my art published alongside Wayne's in a number of game books, mainly for Wizards of the Coast's, "Dungeons and Dragons" game line.

I took great pride in the fact that I had work published in the same books as this great artist.

So, so sorry to hear of his passing. My sympathies go out to his family and friends.

Tha Work Thang #48: Emergence Event

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you are well and wish you every success in 2016.

On to business. I was asked by Megacon Games to produce a number  of pieces of card art for their boardgame, "Emergence Event". This is a science fiction combat game that pits various alien races against each other.

Here are a few of the pieces I did for this game.
