Tha Work Thang #47: Game of Thrones House Symbols.

As promised here is a look at some of the Game of Thrones pieces I did this year.

I was privileged to be approached by Deb Freytag, Art Director at Fantasy Flight Games, to work on the House Symbols for the factions in the Game of Thrones Card Game 2nd Edition. Deb and the art team had a pretty good idea of how they wanted these to look. the shield shapes and symbol shapes were already decided, I just had to render them and embellish them and weather them...basically, make them look cool.
I was really pleased with how they look as a group. It was a real pleasure to do these.

The shot below shows the reverse side of the above cards:

As an addendum to these, I was also asked to design the card back for the set. It was to look like an old worn tome, which would incorporate imagery from the Game of Thrones universe. the final version differs slightly from mine as the folks at ffg put in swords instead of the iron throne that I put in.

Tha Work Thang #46: Whoa!... Hold on there 2015!

Hey 2015! Don't try and sneak off with that look on your face...you should be ashamed of yourself. No posts all year! What....the....Heck.

Well we cannot have that, no sir. So, may I present to you three book covers I did for Goodman Games' "Fifth Edition Fantasy" line. These three follow the same portrait look as the first four in the series that had covers illustrated by Ben Wootten (of Lord of the Rings/Weta fame.) Good fun to do and hopefully I will be able to do another as I do like even numbers.

If you are good boys and girls I may post up some Game of Thrones art before the New Year! Gasp!
